3. Bendtner found a new club
The third and final news story this week comes from The Daily Mail (and many other sources) and it concerns Nicklas Bendtner. HE’S GOT A NEW JOB. The insufferable striker who wasted much time and money at Arsenal, skulking around the pitch and getting in to trouble, has signed for Wolfsburg. It hasn’t quite matched his ambitions of signing for Real Madrid or Barcelona, but then again, not all those at Wolfsburg got exactly what they wanted. Dieter Hecking, the manager of Wolfsburg, admitted that the club had attempted to sign higher calibre players, but that they had failed. Hecking said: “We dared to touch the top shelf of players. It’s empty now though, so we need to look a bit further down.” I’m not sure how much of a battering Nicklas’ ego will take once he reads that, but, nonetheless, he’s got his chance to showcase his world class abilities once again.
