In truth, Arsenal hadn’t performed well enough to win the game, but considering the position they were in with moments to go, there was obvious disappointment amongst the Gunners fans at full time.

Here’s how the fans rated the Arsenal players individual performances. You can rate them yourself here.

Wojech Szczesny – 6.5

Couldn’t really do anything about either goal and made no glaring mistakes.

Calum Chambers – 4.1

Chambers’ rating will have dropped because of failing to stop Skrtel scoring late on. Sterling seemed to target the youngster, perhaps after seeing Jefferson Montero’s success against him a few weeks ago.

Matthieu Debuchy – 6.7

Seocnd game at CB in his professional career. Didn’t look out of place at all. Positives can be taken from his partnership with Mertesacker, Wenger will now know Debuchy is capable of filling in.

Per Mertesacker – 3.1

Actually had a decent first half. His rating is so low as the fans were outraged with his lack of effort in defending Skrtel’s goal.

Kieran Gibbs – 5.3

Gibbs had a bit of a nothing game. Didn’t contribute as much as Arsenal would have liked going forward.

Matthieu Flamini – 4.6

Oxlade-Chamberlain – 4.4

Santi Cazorla – 6.4

Olivier Giroud – 6.8

Alexis Sanchez – 4.5

Danny Welbeck – 4.6
