He’s Still Got It! 3 Things We Learnt About Arsenal In Burnley Win

2) Santi Cazorla has lost his shooting boots… worryingly

The Spaniards last Premier League goal came in January, a poor record considering he’s the weapon that carried us through our 2012/13 campaign. He’s scored doubles, hat-tricks and match-winning goals for the Gunners, and unfortunately it looks like that’s a mere memory. His performance yesterday wasn’t bad in all, his overall passing and deliveries were good, even providing the ball into the box for Chamber’s goal. However, it was evident something was wrong as he misfired multiple times past a frozen Heaton. Firing wide first, and into the hands of the Burnley shot-stopper, he had his golden opportunity to open his scoring account this year, but his feeble effort was blocked last minute. His confidence cannot be high, and it’s a massive shame considering this is his time to shine. Operating from the left, he has the injured Mesut Ozil’s role, a role craved by many Arsenal players due to our overwhelming array of talents. Under-performing frequently, maybe it’s time to drop Santi Cazorla, and give a chance to Joel Campbell or Lukas Podolski. If that doesn’t work, it’s not too much of a worry, as you’ll see with my next point.
