Arsene Wenger revealed in his press conference today that Jack Wilshere would be back in the squad, after many speculated we wouldn’t see him again this season as Wenger suggested he did not know when the Englishman would return when asked last week.

The other good news is that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in full training. The powerful midfielder was having a very positive season before his injury, securing regular starts. His pace, power and directness have been missed and Theo Walcott will have to work hard to keep his place on the right.

The third bit of good news is that Aaron Ramsey is just ’10 days away’ according to Wenger. This is much better than the original diagnosis which suggested he wouldn’t return until the end of March. Now he could be back for next weekend when we host Everton. Fingers crossed that he picks up no further injuries and can find the form of last season.

The Gunners have eight games in the next 30 days, including two legs against Monaco in the Champions League and an FA Cup trip to Manchester United. Arsenal’s schedule in the league looks a little easier, but there’s no doubt they will struggle with so many games in a short amount of time. The imminent return of Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ramsey will give Wenger more rotation options in midfield.
