The scorer of two Chile goals to send them to the final, Eduardo Vargas is highly thought of right now – despite failing on loan at QPR last season. Technically a player of Napoli still, Vargas could be available for just £10million this summer. The 25 year old has failed to live up to his hype for his clubs but internationally he has been brilliant. 22 goals in 45 caps. Vargas can play wide or through the middle – and he could be a good replacement for Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell. Alexis Sanchez is reportedly begging Wenger to complete the deal, although I find that hard to believe. The two Chileans linking up at Arsenal like they do on international duty could be special, though.

Arsenal have reportedly ended their interest in Vidal. Whether or not there was actually any interest is another matter. BBC, who are fed information by the club – were told by Arsenal that they did not have an interest in Vidal. If we were going for him, wouldn’t we tell them differently anyway? But let’s forget about Vidal for a while – nothing serious or concrete has happened – so let’s not think about it. Arsenal may now turn their attentions to William Carvalho, who has impressed at the under 23 European Championship’s.

I’m not going to pretend I’m an enthusiast on Egyptian football and claim I know anything about this guy so yeah.. Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of Sobhy closely, the 17 year old is dubbed the ‘best player in Africa’. It seems he’s highly thought of though – with Roma thought to be leading the chase. His agent said: “Sobhy is a special talent and at just 18 he has already established himself as a first team regular with the biggest club team in Africa (Al Ahly) whilst he is incredibly well thought of within the national team set up.”
