Emiliano Viviano will have a medical with Arsenal after the Arsenal – Tottenham game according to a reliable Italian source. The Italian is set to sign on a 1 year loan deal with a £2million option to buy at the end of the season. Arsenal will pay Viviano’s £20,000 per-week wages whilst he spends the year at Arsenal.
FreshArsenal told you on Tuesday that Arsenal were in talks with Palermo for the 27 year old keeper. Viviano has 6 caps for Italy and was the established back up for Buffon in 2011 before he had a cruciate ligament injury.
Viviano is likely to compete with Szczesny for the number one spot at Arsenal with Lukas Fabianski almost certain to leave on deadline day. Fabianski has been actively offered to several clubs in the last week as Arsenal stepped up a hunt for a new goalkeeper.
Arsenal have also been linked with Espanyol stopper Kiko Casilla, Iker Casilias, Julio Cesar and Asmir Begovic. The club are focussed on attacking additions. Read more: https://fresharsenal.com/arsenal-in-talks-with-viviano/#ixzz2ddhnmJAJ
