3. Alexis Sanchez
Pace, power and goals, Alexis Sanchez has put a spark back into this Arsenal side. Currently sat as the club’s top goalscorer with 5 in 11 appearances, he has provided goals from all areas of the pitch. The forwards strike against Manchester City was recently awarded goal of the month by Arsenal fans, a sublime curled effort from a tight angle to put us back in it.

He made his non-competitive home debut during the Emirates Cup this year, where I was lucky enough to watch him at work following his duties with Chile. And if you haven’t already seen it, watch Sanchez off the ball during a game. His commitment is second to none, working right up until the last minute, where Arsenal have been poor in finishing the game off.
He has already picked up 3 Man of the Match performances, all at a club he has only been playing at for less than 2 months. This is what makes the difference to me picking Kieran Gibbs or Wojech Szczesny as my third best player so far. Alexis has adapted to English football just as well as Diego Costa, it’s just goals that has separated the Spanish star to all the media attention.
Alexis is fearless, he will try things that other Arsenal players are scared to attempt. But more importantly, he knows if he makes a mistake in trying something out, he has to rectify it. That’s what we have lacked for some time now, somebody to change a game even when he isn’t playing well. All I can say is thank you Mr Wenger for spending 34 million English pounds on something quite special.
