3. Karim Rekik
Karim Rekik would probably be the biggest steal out of all of these mentioned. The Dutch-international is only 19-years-old, started for PSV this entire campaign, and is a natural footballer. He is versatile and can play anywhere across the backline except right back. His biggest asset for me is his play on the ball. He is a great passer for a centre back, would be a great understudy to Mertesacker, and fits into Arsenal’s passing philosophy. The best thing about him (I lied earlier) is that he’d cost only £2 million, would be taken from Manchester City, and (I think) would qualify as a “home grown” player. The Citizens will surely not be keen on using him because they seem to want to constantly buy instead of promote from within. In my opinion, this would be a doable, cheap, and quality purchase.
