Everyone knows Arsenal don’t have enough depth in their striker department, and everyone also knows that PSG need to sell this summer in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play rules.  Put two and two together, and it becomes clear that Arsenal have a great chance of signing Zlatan Ibrahimović in this transfer window.

Well, perhaps not – but his partner up top, Edinson Cavani, could very well snapped up and dressed in red and white next season.

From the 2011/12 to 2013/14 season, the 27-year-old scored 129 goals in 181 games in all competitions.  To put this into perspective, this gives him a goal to game ratio of 0.71, which is 0.09 higher than Luis Suarez’s ratio over the same period.

Big, strong, fast, dominant in the air, and clinical when in front of goal – Cavani would turn the Gunners into title contenders in a heartbeat.

Although he cost PSG over £50 million in July of last year, a poker-faced Arsene Wenger should be able to negotiate a transfer for less than £45 million – a price the club would appear to be willing to pay if the right player becomes available.

Could that player be this goal-hungry Uruguayan?
