This inclusion may come as a surprise but providing Podolski is one of three high profile Arsenal players out on loan, Gunners’ fans might want to watch Podolski closely, as Germany face Australia and Georgia this week.
Although the World Cup winner has been capped over 100 times for his country, there isn’t a guarantee he’ll start or appear in each game, providing his form for Inter Milan has reportedly been poor. The 29-year old hasn’t managed to score any goals for Roberto Mancini’s side since January, but his international experience may come in handy for Joachim Loew this week.
The Polish born forward is of course another Arsenal man low on confidence at the moment, so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on for Germany. Hopefully, we’ll see Podolski re-discover his deadly left foot, which in turn could prove to be a positive turning point for the rest of his season.
