It’s been a pretty big year for young Alex Iwobi, and after securing a regular spot in the starting XI it hasn’t taken long for many of us to question his future.

Many pundits across the country and even Arsene Wenger himself has labelled the 19-year-old as a serious talent that will become one of the best in the next few years.

From ‘unheard of’ academy star to Nigerian international, his early days in the Arsenal first team have sparked a run of form even he can’t quite believe, keeping Walcott and The Ox out of the squad at times.

However, whilst talk has surrounded the forward with a big money move in the near future, Iwobi’s father has stated that he doesn’t see his son playing anywhere else.

With his son on international duty with Nigeria at the moment, Chuka Iwobi spoke to AfricanFootball.com and stated that nothing could tempt his son to leave the club that put faith in him.

At this point in time, he is at the right place. He’s doing well at Arsenal, but should any club come for him now, the answer would certainly be no. For him now, it’s not about money.

So, should a club like Barcelona come with more money, he’ll certainly stay at Arsenal because now is not about him making money, it’s about him concentrating on his career, progressing and going on to the next stage.

I see him being in Arsenal for many, many years.

Iwobi has already given us so much to talk about in the last 12 months, and after coming into the side with severe pressure on his shoulders has risen to the occasion to prove his boss right.

With Alexis Sanchez now featuring heavily in the centre forward role, it’s a great time for the youngster to build on his confidence whilst playing week after week.

Just recently we’ve started to see a player in Iwobi who doesn’t look comfortable in front of goal, so that is definitely priority number one when coming back from international duty.

Iwobi is expected to start in Arsenal’s first game back against Manchester United, with Alexis also in line to play after being cleared of injury whilst at Chile’s training complex.
