Done Deal: Goalkeeper Signs Season-Long Loan Deal

Arsenal have successfully loaned goalkeeper Ryan Huddart to National League club Eastleigh for the 2016/17 season.

Huddart was a huge part of the Under-18’s side during last season in the Arsenal academy, playing regularly in both England and the UEFA Youth League.

However, due to the shot-stopper turing 19 in the last few months he’s now in a transition period and a move to non-league football will give him realistic playing time in a demanding division.

His only real appearance for the Gunners first team came back in 2014, where Arsene Wenger placed him as an unused substitute against Borussia Dortmund and Galatassary.

Talking to the Spitfires official website, Huddart added that helping his new side to push on for promotion was what attracted him to sign for Chris Todd’s men.

I am really pleased to have joined Eastleigh on a season long loan.

I know the club are ambitious and are trying to achieve promotion next season, therefore I am looking forward to the challenge and hoping to play my part.

Fresh Arsenal will keep an eye out on Huddart’s performances as part of our loan watch segments, which will kick off as soon as the new season gets in to full swing.
