5 – Omar Rekik
It was confirmed earlier this week that Arsenal will send Rekik to join Sparta Rotterdam for the duration of the 2022/23 campaign in his first big spell away from Arsenal.
A January signing in 2021, Rekik has been getting to grips with the club whilst playing as a regular in the heart of defence during the U23s campaign, making a total of 19 appearances.
Known as a central defender, Rekik was born in the Netherlands and understands the importance of football in the Eredevisie, allowing him to learn as much as he can with a year’s break.
But most recently it’s the international stage that Rekik has been making his name, having switched to Tunisian nationality in order to pick up more realistic game time at a young age.
Still just 20 years old, the defender has already made two appearances for his country at the AFCON 2022, helping Tunisia reach the quarter final stages.
