4 – Harry Clarke
One of the more promising members of Arsenal’s defensive core in the academy, Clarke is set to head back out on loan this season, but will have a slightly easier commute.
Having spent the 2021/22 campaign in Scotland, the 21-year-old has now signed for Stoke City on loan for the upcoming season, allowing him to reach the next step of experience with Championship football argued to be the some of the toughest out there.
His time on loan has always been a positive one, notching up 25 appearances at Hibernian and Ross County respectively last year alone.
But in a first-team defence that now includes William Saliba, Arsenal are not exactly crying out for centre back choices over the next few years and this loan move could mainly be about showing other teams what he’s capable of to force a permanent move.
