2 – Luigi Gaspar
Whilst technically not a direct loan or transfer, this week we received the news that Edu’s son, Luigi, would be packing his bags and making a very short journey.
We found out back in May that Luigi would leave the club once his contract came to a close at the end of June, but we now have it confirmed by Fabrizio Romano that he will join Watford.
The move make sense for the 18-year-old with The Hornets playing next door to Arsenal’s training centre in London Colney, and his chances to feature in first-team games given a boost following Watford’s drop to the Championship.
Featuring 11 times for the U18s and just once for the U23s, Luigi’s time at Arsenal was mainly marred by injury, having signed his contract back in 2020.
The move is likely to be confirmed from July 1st when he officially becomes a free agent.
