ST: Danny Welbeck
This was a tough one to choose. Olivier Giroud has proven that he can score a commendable amount of goals and contribute assists to others. On the other hand, Danny Welbeck has played less than one game for Arsenal and is up to this point, largely unproven. None the less, Welbeck is the player I would opt for. With his combination of pace and running off the ball, I think he is far more suited to the new look, pacey Arsenal. Giroud does offer something different, but far to often last season he slowed down attacks and frustrated both himself and the players around him. With the plethora of talent and pace that sits behind Welbeck, I back him to start banging goals in for Arsenal during Giroud’s absence.
