The Everton midfielder has been another long-term target of Arsene Wenger’s. The boss has been a big fan of the workhorse midfielder for some time. His tenacious battling qualities would come in handy at the base of the Arsenal midfield, and he certainly does those duties in a cleaner way than Mathieu Flamini. He’s still young, but there are question marks about his ability at the top level. Can he play for a Champions League club? Is he much better than Arteta? It’s hard to tell until he has the chance to step up, but I am a fan of the player.
