Akpom made his fourth first-team appearance of the season in Sunday’s 3-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup, however he has not yet decided whether or not his future lies at the Emirates.

The young forward’s deal is into it’s final six months, meaning Akpom, who has been with Arsenal since the age of six, can be approached by other clubs.

Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord and FC Twente, have put offers on the table for the teenager and now he has a decision to make in regards to his future.

Arsene Wenger wants Akpom to stay at the club, and has told him behind the scenes that he is in his first-team plans after a prolific two years in the Arsenal academy and reserves. However, Akpom has a battle on his hands in getting into the first 11, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck & Olivier Giroud in front of him in the pecking order.

Akpom, 19, has also received interest from clubs in England with Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton rumoured to be eyeing up a move for the young English striker.

Akpom’s decision will be largely dictated by where he thinks he can develop as a footballer and gain first team football, and with his contract running down, the forward is keeping all his options open.
