Arsenal set to sell £32m first team duo that could fund Aouar move

Arsenal could be about to sell two first team players in a final week of the transfer window that is likely to see plenty of activity at The Emirates.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will earn 11million euros (£10m) + add ons from the sale of Sead Kolasinac to Bayer Leverkusen, set to be completed in the next 48 hours.

The same reporter said that the agent of Lucas Torreira was in Madrid today to finalise a move to Atletico.

Arsenal will hope to sell Torreira permanently for around 25million euros (£22m).

Torreira earns around £75,000 per week, whilst Kolasinac earns in excess of £100,000 per week.

That means the duo alone could add around £32million to Arsenal’s coffers, as well as freeing nearly £200,000 on the weekly wage bill.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, who is likely to cost around £40million. The French 22-year-old midfielder currently earns around £60,000 at Lyon.

Arsenal could have a busy final week in the transfer window, with the likes of Sokratis, Mustafi, Guendouzi and Chambers all potentially surplus to requirements, due to the competition for places in their current positions.
