Arsenal are reportedly readying an £18million bid for Benfica forward Anderson Talisca.
The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a striker – has scored 6 goals in seven games so far for Benfica this season, spearheading their title charge.
The 20 year old joined Benfica in the summer for a €4million fee. His quality has already attracted interest from several top clubs though and he has an £18million release clause.
Arsenal sent scouts to watch Talisca at the weekend, according to the Star. The Gunners are still on the lookout for attacking talent. Talisca is very strong in the air and good at holding up the ball, perfect for Arsenal’s style.
Jose Mourinho has spoken highly of the player, suggesting that he would already be playing for a ‘big’ Premier League club if it wasn’t for work permit problems. Playing in Europe for Benfica will certainly help Talisca if he wants to make a move to the Premier League in the future.
