Arsenal are preparing an offer for Newcastle defender Mathieu Debuchy according to France Football.
The report suggests Arsene Wenger is ready to make an offer for Mathieu Debuchy, 29, who is looking to leave Newcastle. The defender also has interest from Paris. He joined Newcastle 18 months ago for £5.5m, and it is thought he would command a similar transfer fee now.
There are reports that PSG and Marseille have entered talks for Serge Aurier, which could explain the Gunners interest in Debuchy. There were some reports that Arsene Wenger had some concerns over Aurier’s lack of experience. Arsenal already have Carl Jenkinson and Hector Bellerin who offer youthful options at right back, so adding Debuchy who is 29 on Saturday, and has 23 caps for France.
