When the BBC revealed Arsenal were due to sign Calum Chambers, they also said that the Gunners were in talks over a move for his teammate Schneiderlin. The tidy French central midfielder is likely to cost in the region of £15million and would demand considerably less wages than the likes of alternative targets like Sami Khedira.
Morgan Schneiderlin is a very experienced player and has featured for his country at nearly every level and has been selected for the France squad in the 2014 world cup. He has made over 200 appearances for Southampton, scoring just 10 goals.
