Arsenal Loan Watch: Afobe Scores AGAIN And Jenkinson Continues To Improve

Wellington Silva – UD Almeria

Wellington Silva still appears for UD Almeria regularly but instead came off the bench this week in their 2-1 loss to Levante. Silva came on in the 65th minute for Thievy Bifouma but did not create much offensively or defensively when on the field. He only completed two out of three passes but completed three out of 4 take-ons. Other than that he had one shot, which was blocked and committed a foul.

Austin Lipman – Boreham Wood

Boreham Wood had no games this week.

 

Jon Toral – Brentford

Jon Toral was rewarded by his excellent performances last week by being given a start on the right wing this week in Brentford’s 2-1 win over Derby County. Although, he was subbed after 66 minutes for Stuart Dallas the scorer of the game winner in the 94th minute.

 

Benik Afobe – MK Dons

Benik Afobe scored once more to keep his goal-scoring form on track. He scored from the penalty spot in MK Dons’ 2-1 loss to Sheffield United. He unfortunately failed to score in the Dons’ 2-1 win over Swindon Town. He started both games but came off in the 86th minute against Swindon Town.

 

Ryo Miyaichi – FC Twente

Ryo Miyaichi did play in FC Twente’s cup game against the Go Ahead Eagles that ended 0-0 but 5-4 on penalties for FC Twente. The Japanese international did start in the 2-0 win against Heerenveen but came off in the 66th minute.

Carl Jenkinson – West Ham United

Carl Jenkinson has become a regular in Sam Allardyce’s side. The England international against gave a good performance last week in West Ham’s comeback 2-2 draw. Jenkinson didn’t provide a lot going forward, but provided excellent defensive cover. He completed 4 out of 8 tackles, 2 clearances, one headed clearance, a blocked cross, and only committed one foul.
