3. Loic Remy

Several reports suggest the Gunners are keen on signing Remy, but only if other targets cannot be acquired. This is a risky strategy that has not paid off in past summers. A report in Goal says Tottenham have agreed a deal for Remy, but the player is refusing to finalise the deal as he waits for Arsenal to make an offer. There are even rumours hanging around the internet that Thierry Henry has recommended Remy to Arsene Wenger.
Remy is currently at the World Cup so will be in no rush to push ahead transfer talks, and he is currently playing in a squad with Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud and fellow Arsenal transfer target Karim Benzema. There could be plenty of Arsenal related conversation going on in that dressing room – especially considering Antionne Griezmann is also there. These Remy rumours are unlikely to go away any time soon, and the Gunners are likely to keep in contact with Remy’s agents over the coming weeks as they look to make sure they don’t encounter another Higuain/Suarez-esque situation again, like last summer – where Arsenal’s attacking force remained blunt.
