Arsenal fans will have been happy with the finishing on show from Arsenal pair Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud on Friday night, both of whom scored against quality opposition.Â
Giroud netted for France against Germany in a game which was overshadowed by the horrific bombings in Paris.
Cazorla netted against England with a fine finish. Goalscoring is something which has been lacking from Santi’s game when playing for Arsenal lately, hopefully this goal will have boosted his confidence for future games.
The Spaniard started as a substitute, but was forced into action in the first half due to an injury to Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alacantara. Arsenal fans will hope Cazorla doesn’t play all 90 minutes of Spain’s next game, as he was already looking a little worse for ware before the international break.
Here’s how the Arsenal fans reacted to both goals on Twitter.
What a goal from Santi Cazorla. Hopefully, he scores for Arsenal soon.. https://t.co/8RzboAlZLF

I personally preferred Cazorla’s goal to Mario’s in terms aesthetics.

Giroud with a goal against Germany. Doesn’t score against good teams though.
