When it comes to Arsenal fans and transfers it seems as though Arsene Wenger will always be fighting a losing battle, but his latest decision has shocked the majority.
According to an exclusive report from The Mirror’s John Cross, the Gunners boss has given the all-clear for back-up central defender, Gabriel, to leave this summer.
The story states that Valencia have been in talks over the move for quite some time and are now ready to submit a formal £10million offer which is expected to be accepted by Arsenal officials.
Ever since his £15million move from Vilarreal in 2015, Gabriel has struggled to fit in to this new-look Arsenal side and has been filtered down the pecking order.

Even though Gabriel isn’t a fan favourite, many believe now is not the right time to shift him on unless Wenger has a serious candidate to step into his shoes.
