Arsenal’s transfer talks have gone quiet of late, but there are three quality midfielders that are still available. In fact, three midfielders seem to be on the market and available for the right price, if Arsenal are willing to pay, they could significantly strengthen their midfield options, though they are keen to shift some players first. 1 – Jean Seri
Barcelona were said to have scuppered Arsenal in the race to sign the Nice midfielder, but The Mirror are now citing reports from Mundo Deportivo which suggest that Barcelona will not pay the £36million releace clause needed. Something which could be holding this deal up is that Nice play Napoli in a Champions League qualifier later this month. If Nice qualify for the Champions League then he may be tempted to stay with the French club, as Champions League football is something that even Arsenal cannot offer this season.
The 26-year-old is considered by many as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 and he would add energy and creativity to the Arsenal midfield. Many see him as a potential replacement for the injury riddled Santiago Cazorla, whose return date still remains a mystery.
