Arsenal are about to sign a new striker, before the 11pm deadline in Danny Welbeck, according to several sources.
The player has been offered to Arsenal and he seems to want the move. It is unclear as yet whether it is a loan deal or a permanent one. Welbeck was not Arsenal’s first choice, but he is available and looking for a club, with Sanogo as our only senior striker, it seems foolish to turn him down.
The Independent understands the England striker would prefer a move to the Emirates over White Hart Lane, despite Tottenham being heavily interested in the forward.
Fresh Arsenal understands that the deal could be a permanent one, for just £6million. These reports are unconfirmed but are something we’ve been told from someone who knows people.
