Alex Lacazette: I’m Going To Ask Griezmann To Sign For Arsenal

It seems Arsene Wenger has a new transfer scout working for him after Alex Lacazette revealed he’ll do all he can to tempt Antoine Griezmann to Arsenal.

The pair are set to link up with one another as France take on Bulgaria and Belarus in their final World Cup 2018 qualifying games over the next few days.

Lacazette was awarded his spot in Didier Deschamps squad following an encouraging start to his debut career in England, currently sitting with four goals under his belt.

He’s clearly Wenger’s number one choice up top which has left fellow Frenchman, Olivier Giroud, warming the bench on multiple occasions in the Premier League.

And with Giroud recently turning the wrong side of 30, Lacazette now wants to cause another blow by welcoming one of Europe’s most talked about strikers to North London.

Griezmann is a player that Lacazette has grown up alongside in the national team and the pair regularly congratulate each other on social media.

However, at the age of 26 Griezmann could be looking to make one huge move away from Atletico Madrid in search of some silverware and Arsenal could be a realistic option.

Whilst talking to Match of the Day Magazine, Lacazette spoke of his close relationship with Griezmann and what he hopes to do in the not so distant future:

We are very good friends and have lots of fun.

Our nicknames for each other are Lacaz and Griezzy.

If Griezzy visits me in London, I’m going to ask him to sign for Arsenal.

I’m sure Arsene Wenger would willingly let Lacazette try and convince the La Liga forward to come and link up with his side but this is one transfer that would need serious money.

I think our centre forward options are set for at least the next two years and very much doubt Wenger would go back in for a striker with less than 24 months on his contract.

Danny Welbeck remains a viable option but it’s looking increasingly likely that Alexis Sanchez will be packing his bags in January as he forces through a move to PSG or Man City.
