As is customary nowadays, those who watched the game took to Twitter to voice their grievances and opinions. Here are the pick of the bunch:
Good luck to the colleagues who will have to try and explain Arsenal’s ‘formation’ tonight.

I’ve tried to be positive about Wenger, I really have. But every time we play a good side away, we get hammered. Nothing changes. #afc — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 16, 2014

That was the performance of Klopp’s dreams: tireless, relentless, clever, incisive. Arsenal overwhelmed. Far more 1-sided than 2-0 suggests

Shocked by how poor Arsenal were tonight. So many simple passes misplaced and so little personality. Lucky to keep it down to two really.

Even the Arsenal Twitter page had a nightmare…

There was however, one man who seemed to find the whole experience somewhat, mesmeric. Congratulations, Jurgen Klopp.
