Three Borussia Dortmund Players To Watch Out For Against Arsenal

Arsenal face Borussia Dortmund in the group stage of the Champions League for the second successive season. Jürgen Klopp’s outfit have several players out injured and after loosing their talisman, Robert Lewandowski, have a few fresh faces as they hope to emulate their European success of two seasons ago when they made it all the way to the final.

Here are three Dortmund players to watch as Arsenal get their European adventure underway.

1) Shinji Kagawa

The Japanese midfielder made a return to Dortmund this summer after a generally disappointing stint with Manchester United.

Klopp rates Kagawa very highly and said he had ‘tears in his eyes’ watching him play out of position at United. On his Dortmund return, Kagawa repaid Klopp for his faith as he scored one and set one up in a 3-1 home win against Freiburg.

Kagawa himself will be out to show what he can do against an English team, and with the complete support of his coach could well hurt Arsenal. Look out for his bursting runs and goal threat from midfield. Click below to see the other Dortmund players to watch.
