Lukas Podolski is set to leave Arsenal before the transfer window closes and his agent is now assessing several offers according to ESPN.
The German World Cup winner was left out of the squad to play Everton, despite Mertesacker and Ozil both starting. It is thought Arsenal have received loan offers and a transfer offer of around £8million. Juventus and Galatasary have been heavily linked.

Arsenal will certainly miss Podolski’s killer instinct in front of goal and despite being anonymous in a lot of games, he always has a goal in him. He’s 29 years old now though and you can see why Arsene Wenger may be willing to sell. The Frenchman never seemed the biggest fan of the Arsenal number nine, often reluctant to start him or even use off the bench.
Podolski was one of the Gunners highest earners on £90,000 per week. This wasn’t justified in his performances and with him approaching his 30’s you can see Wenger’s temptation to accept an offer of around £8million. Arsenal fans will hope this paves the way for one more big money signing before the transfer window shuts. Not only are more funds now available, but the number 9 jersey will be free for a new striker.
