Arsenal welcome bitter rivals Tottenham to The Emirates on Sunday, but how will the Gunners line up?
Arsenal had a midweek game against PSV whereas Tottenham had the week off to prepare for this game. Mikel Arteta will be happy though that the game was somewhat of a confidence booster and there was an opportunity for some players to be rested towards the end.
Have a look how I think we could line up for the game below. Disagree? Create your Arsenal XI at the bottom of this article.
Goalkeeper: David Raya
Raya has come in and earned back to back clean sheets. He’s not had many saves to make but the Spaniard brings a calmness to the back four that I think Arteta will want again in this game, which could be a bit hectic.
Defenders: Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Oleksandr Zinchenko
Midfielder: Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Fabio Vieira
The big call to make in midfield is Vieira or Havertz. There’s plus points to both, but I think given Havertz played 90 against PSV, Arteta will opt to start with Vieira. Fans are divided on this one.
Who would you start on Sunday? 🤔
I see logic to both choices. Fabio looks sharp, helps us dictate, incisive final ball. Kai offers target to beat Spurs high press.

Forwards: Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard
With Martinelli injured and Trossard off the back of two goals in as many games, I fully expect the Belgian to start from the left in this one. Jesus took Arsenal up a level with his performance against PSV and I think he has to start again in this derby.
