Arsenal are set to do more business today.
Crystal Palace are currently emerging as the prime candidate to secure Arsenal defender Rob Holding on a permanent transfer deal before tonight’s transfer window slams shut.
Rob Holding, a player whose been at the club since 2016, finds himself on the outskirts of favour at Arsenal, and the club is actively seeking opportunities to offload him and recoup a reasonable fee. He has fallen down the pecking order in the team’s defensive lineup, which has led to Arsenal being open to offers for him throughout this transfer window.
Despite interest from various clubs in England, Italy, and Spain this summer, Crystal Palace have appeared as the most confident party in their pursuit of the 27-year-old defender, as they aim to strengthen their defensive options [Daily Mail].
Nuno Tavares to Nottingham Forest has now been confirmed as a loan deal, with an option of a £13million future buy clause if certain conditions are met, believed to be around a number of appearances made and if Forest remain in the division.
These departures, coupled with Kieran Tierney’s move to Real Sociedad earlier this week, could trigger a late move for a defender today.
