It’s welcome news for those of us that have been following the pre-season fixtures closely this summer, with Arsenal having won each of their five games so far.
The Gunners have now returned from their US tour which saw them run out as winners against Everton, Orlando City and most recently the 4-0 hammering of Chelsea.
One thing that we can be certain of is this will be Arsenal’s penultimate game of pre-season with a return to familiar surroundings this weekend for the Emirates Cup.
Arsenal did recently run out for a behind closed doors friendly against Ipswich Town where Eddie Nketiah stole the show grabbing a hat-trick to kickstart a terrific pre-season.
This time however, Arsenal will have their new boys Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who are both expected to play in some capacity at London Colney.
We’ll wait to see if Arsenal decide to stream the game live from their website, but they will most definitely film highlights ready to be posted directly after the game. We’ll have updates on our Twitter feed as the goals go in.
