Scamacca scored 16 Serie A goals in his 25 starts and 11 sub-apps this season for Sassuolo. Reports from Italian sources like CalcioMercato have suggested that Arsenal have lodged a £30million bid for Scamacca, who is also wanted by a host of Italian clubs including Inter Milan.
Scamacca is clearly quite a different physical profile to many of the club’s other reported targets for a new striker. Standing at 6ft 5′ he is more aerially dominant but clearly less athletic than the likes of Gabriel Jesus.
