The Gunners have sealed a deal for Denis Suarez, with an initial loan before an option to buy in the summer, set at around €25million. But the clubs business is not yet done, with the possibility of another addition on deadline day.
Arsenal had hoped to sign Ivan Perisic in the final few days of the transfer window, but Inter Milan will reportedly only allow a permanent move, something the Gunners cannot commit to at this stage.
An alternative was then viewed as Yannick Carrasco. The Belgian midfielder, currently playing in China, is said to be available on a initial loan deal with an option to buy, but his wages appear to be a stumbling block, as is AC Milan’s late interest in the wide man.
So now, according to the BBC, the most likely late addition to the squad after Denis
Nkunku can play as a winger, but he is more naturally a central midfielder. The same could possibly be said for Suarez, and so Emery and fans would probably favour a move for Carrasco or Perisic ahead of the youngster.
We’ve seen the situation with Suarez change very quickly, so it is more than possible that the situation for Carrasco and Perisic could change and so, it’s anyones guess who else signs, if anyone, on deadline day. Stayed close to @Fresh_Arsenal on Twitter for deadline day updates.
