We’ve seen it with Bellerin, we’ve seen it with The Ox and now Santi Cazorla has taken to social media to deny recent reports of an injury setback.
In an ‘exclusive’ report revealed by The Express earlier this week, it seemed as if the Spaniard would be left on the sidelines until at least April 2018.
Having suffered an issue earlier this year, Cazorla was expected to return to action with the Gunners in November but the media soon turned on his chances.
An early recovery looked out of the question and it was believed the 31-year-old may have played his final game for Arsenal, having not made an appearance since October 2016.
But now the fan-favourite midfielder has posted a photo of himself in the gym suggesting all is well and if anything, his comeback will come sooner than expected.
That message above roughly translates to “Double session day! Shortening deadlines and increasing smile” which is great news to hear during the summer window.
As you can expect, Twitter went into meltdown following these reports and immediately stated Wenger should already start the search for Cazorla’s replacement.
However, with Jack Wilshere back and both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain thriving in the middle the answer could be right in front of us.
Only time will tell on whether or not we’ll see Cazorla feature next season, but I think I speak for 99% of fans when saying we’ll hope and pray that he does!
