Report: Arsenal Scout Spotted At The San Siro Watching Talented Youngster

Having produced top quality talents from a young age like Alex Iwobi and Jack Wilshere, Arsenal are ready to bring in another talented youngster to their ranks.

According to Tutto Mercato Web – the Gunners sent scouts to check out Franck Kessie, who was featuring for Atalanta at the San Siro following a breakout season.

The 20-year-old has already picked up five goals and assisted on two occasions, but it’s his tireless work rate that has attracted interest from some of the Premier League big boys.

Whilst his price tag is unclear, it’s obvious that a Serie A side like Atalanta will struggle to keep hold of their prized asset, and a justified double figure bid would be difficult to turn down.

But it appears the Gunners are stepping up their pursuit of Kessie, who completed 90 minutes during his side’s 0-0 draw with AC Milan last Saturday.

It’s believed Arsenal are keen to bring in some more names under the radar this January as they prepare for life after Wenger, whilst also replacing some key areas in midfield.

Santi Cazorla is unlikely to feature until late March and the ability of Coquelin and Xhaka has often been questioned during the big games.

Kessie wouldn’t be an instant fit in the midfield but with so many futures unclear due to the ongoing contract negotiations at the Emirates, Arsenal have players like Kessie on standby.
