- Age: 31
- Position: Centre Attacking Midfielder
- Squad #: 19
- Height: 5ft 6in
Season Prediction:
Every year he gets older, every year he gets a little bit better. Cazorla has been one of the most underrated players Arsenal have had these past few seasons, and he’ll want to bounce back from that long-term injury he suffered last season. It’s going to be a season where Cazorla will have to produce some of his best football to stay in the side, and ideally that can’t be a bad thing.
Player Objectives:
Arguably Arsenal’s best midfield involves Cazorla and Xhaka playing together as a duo behind the attacking midfielders, and that’s going to be so good to watch. He’ll be able to push on a little more now that Xhaka is capable of taking on midfield duties a little better than Coquelin.
Best Attributes:
He’s 31, been at the club for more than 4 years and is still capable of surprising us with that delicate footwork of his, but ultimately his passing play is perfect. He can feed a ball through to anyone and when he’s in his stride in the final third he causes defenders problems by being able to switch the play with a flick of his foot.
Weak Areas:
You might say that his fitness levels aren’t what they used to be, but now that there’s some depth in the midfield Wenger has the ability to work around that.
