The World may be filled with people talking about Paul Pogba, but over at Arsenal they’re trying to do business a little more understated.
Today’s latest update comes from Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, who has given Gunners fans a little bit of hope that Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way.
It looks as if this deal is really starting to pick up pace now, and it’s been confirmed that Wenger is still negotiating with Lyon over the transfer fee, believed to sit around £40m.
Alexandre Lacazette – talks ongoing between Arsenal & Lyon about transfer fee. He now has a hip injury

Question marks were raised over the chances of Wenger still going in for the 25-year-old after he picked up a hip injury during the 4-1 loss to PSG last week.
We’re still waiting around on the extent of that injury, but it could help to speed up the process as Lyon wave goodbye to their star striker who bagged 21 league goals last season.
Arsenal are getting pretty desperate to land this deal now, with Theo Walcott failing to deliver in the centre forward role and Alexis better suited to life on the left-wing.
Not only does the Lyon striker offer much-needed competition up top, he’s got a blend of attributes that make him the perfect man to bag at least 20 goals this season.
Lacazette refused to speak to the media following the PSG tie the other day, and a loss like that to their rivals could be another push out of the exit door he needs.
Talks will continue throughout the week but the chances of getting the move completed by the time we play Liverpool are very unlikely.
In other news, following the injury to Gabriel the Gunners may have identified a new target at centre back with (and no it’s not Mustafi this time).
