It’s not very often that Arsenal fans get a chance to see their new signings on the big screen before the summer transfer window has barely opened.
Arsene Wenger is used to wrapping up his business late on, and unfamiliar names are left to fend for themselves when making their first appearance in front of the expectant supporters.
Luckily, the Euro’s has been a fitting stage for the Gunners latest signing to show what he’s got, and Xhaka has taken every chance to show he’s worth the £35m price tag.
Whilst representing Switzerland, the 23-year-old has received two man of the match awards during the opening brace of fixtures, and currently holds the record for the most passes in one game at 115.
His performances are no doubt pleasing the Arsenal fans back at home, and we’ve searched through Twitter to pick out some of the best reaction.
Genuinely excited to Xhaka in an Arsenal shirt, definitely adds a new dimension to our play with his long passes. Will be interesting…
