Arsenal have had a bid turned down for Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira, according to reports in Portugal.
Danilo is a 6ft 2 destructive midfielder that would certainly add presence to the Gunners midfield. He is 24 and has 8 caps for Portugal.
Arsenal have allegedly had an offer rejected with Porto only willing to part with the midfielder if the £31.7million buy-out clause is met. That price seems a little steep when you consider that Granit Xhaka has a similar valuation.

The Gunners may be able to take advantage of player power though, with Porto enduring a terrible season, Danilo may be looking for a move. We do know though from previous experience that Porto don’t tend to sell their players cheaply.
Danilo’s agent, Oliver Cabrera, told Violanews on Tuesday: “What I know is that Danilo appeals to many clubs, both Spanish and English, but at the moment his future is not set.”
