Arsene Wenger appeared confused when asked if the Gunners were going to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic – the face of a man who has forgotten what a world-class striker looks like.
34-year-old Zlatan is out of contract in the summer and is still in incredible form. Wenger was asked if Arsenal would be making a move for the Swede, but his words were not too encouraging: “Look, at the moment, no,”
This season Zlatan has scored 31 league goals and bagged 11 more assists. His age so far, seems to be having little effect on his quality, and Wenger agrees:
“We have other worries at the moment. It’s short-term. We are not on Zlatan’s case. Even at 34, he’s had a great season at PSG.” He added: “I’m just surprised by the name you’ve thrown at me.”
Don’t completely write it off though; we know Wenger wouldn’t give anything away if we were trying to sign him. The Frenchman’s focus right now is purely on the game tomorrow against Everton, which is a must win at all costs if the Gunners are to have any hope of Premier League glory this season.

It is worrying if Arsenal actually have not already made a move for Zlatan, as he is now available to talk to foreign clubs and the Gunners would, of course be behind a host of top clubs if they wait any longer before getting in contact.
