Rumours suggesting that Theo Walcott is suffering an injury setback have been classed as nonsense, according to the Arsenal forward’s training camp.
The 26-year-old suffered a knock during Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup during late October, much to the annoyance of the supporters.
But following the news that three Arsenal stars would make their returns to the squad this weekend, it sparked rumours that Walcott was facing a longer spell on the touch-line than his teammates.
However, London Evening Standard reporter James Olley has confirmed that officials at Walcott’s training camp believe the striker is still on course to return on the original date set out.
That of course is good news for the Gunners fans, who will enjoy a nice run of fixtures over the next few weeks, which includes a massive tie against Dynamo Zagreb.
Earlier on in the week it was reported that Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Hector Bellerin were all in line to make a comeback this weekend at West Brom.
Arsene Wenger will of course be incredibly careful in his selection process still, as he knows better than anyone you cannot rush a player back into the Premier League.
