Mesut Ozil has publicly sent words of encouragement to Danny Welbeck, after it emerged the English forward would miss a further three months due to injury.
Welbeck has been out since April, and missed the whole of pre-season. Arsenal were adamant he was due to return after the international break but it has now emerged that the 24 year old underwent surgery last week, making it all the more baffling that the Gunners did not enter the market for a striker in the final days of the window.
Ozil offered his support on Twitter to the player.
Stay strong and get well soon, Danny! ?✊ @arsenal #AFC #COYG #Welbeck pic.twitter.com/AbjkQs48Xg

Welbeck is considered by many to be the most suitable striking option to get the best out of Ozil. He almost has the pace of Walcott but also has the ability to hold the line. Sadly, Welbeck will now have to sit out probably at least until 2016. Giroud and Walcott will now have to hold the goalscoring burden between them and more than ever, Wenger needs Theo to find his feet up front.
