Tottenham Hotspur target Hector Moreno is said to be desperate to secure a move to the Premier League and North London- but only to join the Lilywhites arch-rivals Arsenal.
27-year-old Mexican defender Moreno has impressed with Espanyol this season, where he has made 15 La Liga appearances, and also starred for his nation in last summer’s World Cup.
His performances have attracted attention from England, with many clubs looking to seal a move for the Espanyol defender- including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
Tottenham are said to be very keen on securing a deal but they are set for a major blow, as it’s suggested the player will ‘do anything’ in order to move to Arsenal.
Whether Arsene Wenger brings in another centre-back remains to be seen, as he brought in Gabriel Paulista this summer and has Calum Chambers as a back-up option.
However the form of Per Mertesacker has been a concern at times this season, whilst Laurent Koscienly has suffered from a regular injury problem.
Arsenal are on the verge of heaping more misery upon Tottenham in the Premier League, as they are just a six point swing away from securing another year finishing above their arch-rivals in the table.
