Arsenal are to scout Dinamo Kiev defender Aleksandar Dragovic on Thursday as the Ukranian side clash with Everton, according to reports.
The Austrian defender is linked with a summer move to the Emirates and reports state that the Gunners will assess his performance against the Toffees over the two legs.
24-year-old Dragovic is considered to be a top defender in European football and a number of elite sides are believed to be monitoring the player.
Valued at around £15m, Austrian defender Dragovic is said to be keen on leaving Ukraine at the end of the season- which could be influenced by the political situation in the European nation.
Arsenal strengthened their defence in January with the addition of Gabriel Paulista but Arsene Wenger is keen to expand their defensive ranks at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund are also said to be tracking the player, whilst West Ham will give them rival interest from the Premier League.
It seems like a typical Wenger signing but it remains to be seen whether Arsenal’s interest is genuine, as they already have three top-class central defenders at the club- none of which will be leaving this summer.
Dragovic is likely to want some assurances for first-team football that Arsenal may not be able to guarantee.
