Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Legia Warsaw youngster Krystian Bielik in the coming days, according to Sky Sports.
Arsenal representatives are believed to have flown out to Poland to thrash out a deal on Wednesday, which is believed to be in the region of £2 million pounds.
Earlier in the month, it was reported that Arsenal had a bid rejected for the youngster, with Arsenal rumoured to have offered £1.6 million, however Arsenal have now returned with a second bid in order to capture the defensive midfielder.
The 17-year-old, could complete the transfer before Arsenal’s huge game against Manchester City at the Ethiad on Sunday.
Warsaw’s manager, Henning Berg, has highlighted how Bielik “does not have any weaknesses”.
He said: “He’s a physical player with good skills. He has a very good understanding of the game and match mentality. Krystian is quite far ahead of other players at his age.”
Bielik has been sought after from many clubs throughout Europe and has already visited Hamburg who are also in the running for his signature. His agent has claimed that ‘half of Europe’ are interested in him.
However, Arsenal are now in pole position to sign the starlet who is versatile and can play at centre back as well as holding midfield. Arsenal fans have been craving a defensive minded player and with the 17-year-old set to arrive to the Emirates, Arsenal are looking to the future.
