Three midfielders have spoken out in recent weeks about how they would love to move to Arsenal. It’s a ‘come and get me plea’, but will Arsene Wenger listen to any of the trio? Here’s the three players who clearly have their heart set on a move to the Emirates.
1. Moussa Sissoko
A powerful presence no doubt, but is he naturally a defensive midfielder? Not really. Sissoko is a powerful player who can play anywhere in midfield and that would certainly make him a useful presence in the squad. One thing that is for sure is he wants to join Arsenal.
“I remain focused on Newcastle,” he said in an interview with Telefoot. “If something should happen, it will happen.
“England remains my priority. If (Arsenal boss) Arsene Wenger calls me? We will have a discussion man to man. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.”
Sissoko, capped 27 times for France, said his dream was to play for a “big club”. Wenger, can you realise his dream?
Sissoko is a powerful presence and stands at 6ft 2, making him a very useful addition to add physicality to the Arsenal midfield. However he rarely plays in a defensive midfield role for Newcastle, so can he do it for the Gunners?
